Jupiter forms Gaja-Kasari yoga in the navamsha and in the rashi. In the rashi, Jupiter in the 8^th house with the Moon in Jupiter’s constellation of Sagittarius in the 5^th house. Tiger Woods is the elephant-lion/tiger,Mystery Guru of Golf and has many followers and ‘students’. He is (was) known for his privacy and squeaky clean image and appearance however, Jupiter in the 8^th points to the hidden, alluring and glamorous attraction that many people have for Tiger. The8^th house as place of sexuality, mystery and scandal is clearly outlined by the recent media exposure Tiger and his family are under. The 8^th house points toward secrets and scandal revealed during the Moon’s mahadasha and Jupiter’s last degrees of debilitation. Jupiter is transiting Tiger’s 6^thhouse Capricorn with Mars transiting his 12^th house (Cancer) of bed pleasures and loss. Mars will retrograde in Cancer on December 20^th. Mars transiting the constellation of home,family mother and security has breached the 12^th house place of retreat and quiet activating issues of sexual ‘indiscretion’. Saturn is retrograde in the natal chart in Cancer and indicates emotional distance and a dry form of order within the home. Mars has broken and upset this order in association with Capricorn. Capricorn is a corporate constellation and indicates those systems of hierarchy and conformity as well as Tigers corporate endorsements. Mercury is conjoined 8^th house Jupiter in the Navamsha. Jupiter 4^thfrom the Moon indicates the opulent, large homes and vehicles Tiger owns and drives. Tiger wrecked his Cadillac escalade on November 27, 2009. The moon was transiting Tiger’s rashi 8^th house Jupiter Rx in Pisces. Mars transiting Moon’s constellation and Tiger’s natal Saturn Rx in the 12^th are the indicators for an aggressive, crushing loss of family. This accident was the result of scandal and indiscretion coming to light. Saturn is transiting Tiger’s 2^nd house Virgo and is aspects his natal Jupiter.

The nodes of the moon are transiting Tiger’s navamsha ascendant Gemini and 7^thhouse Sagittarius. Sun and Ketu are in Navamsha Sag with Rahu in Navamsha Gemini (Dec 16, 2009). Mercury, ruler of the 1^st and 4^th is in the 8^th. Corporate endorsements are lost due to the scandal leading to a loss of a great amount of money. The money lost puts pressure on the home. In the rashi, Rahu is conjoined Venus in the 3^rd Libra giving beautiful people at every turn. Desire is everywhere; ruler of the 3^rd and 10^thin the 3^rd. Competition is not only athletic; it is for the most beautiful stuff. Golf is considered an art as well as sport and has a nature aspect akin to Japanese gardens. Ketu in Aries indicates the out-in-nature,other-world that golf is on beautiful, landscape acreage; exclusive and elite. Only ‘beautiful people’ have access to this world. At the back of Tiger’s mind, the shadow out-caste lurks, reminding him he is out-of-caste and out of the mainstream.

Jupiter rules the 7^th house of intimate partners and the 10^th house of career. The transits of Jupiter on 8^thhouse Jupiter and Mars on 2^nd house Cancer again reveals the issue of sexuality and attraction as opposed to the security of home and family. Moon is in Taurus in the 12^th and aspects 6^th house Mars retrograde conjoined Venus in Scorpio. The upcoming eclipses are on Tiger’s Navamsha, the chart of spouse.

Mahaparivartana Yoga - Dhana Yoga Tiger is a Leo ascendant with the Sun in the 4^thhouse in yoga with Mercury. Mars in Scorpio is yoga karaka for Leo ascendant and is placed in the 11^thhouse Gemini. Mercury rules the 2^ndand the 11^th giving Tiger a strong Raja Dhana yoga as well as parivartana yoga. Mars and Mercury exchange houses 4 and 11, Scorpio and Gemini with an association with the ascendant lord, the sun. This is an athletic combination for wealth and merchandising. Mercury shares its root meaning with merchandising. Mars rules the 4^thand 9^th where mercury and the sun are conjoined Ketu in the ninth. The 9^th indicates the father. It is well known that Tiger’s father has passed and that his displays on the golf course when a win has been achieved are in dedication to the father. Ketu in the 9^th indicates another worldly, spiritual-type father non-the-less; the father was physically present in the home. In the Rashi, ruler of the 1^st (Sun) is in the 4^thconjoined ruler of the 11^th and 2^ndis a strong yoga for wealth and Tiger is one of the wealthiest athletes in the world. Mercury is with in 3 degrees of the Sun and is combust. The nervous system gets over-heated and super-stressed. Sexual compulsion may be the discharge mechanism in managing the intense public focus and expectation.

Chandra-Mangala - Viparita Sarala Yoga Mars is in both the navamsha and the rashi opposite the Moon. In the rashi, Mars is in the11^th house Gemini with the 5^th house Moon in Sagittarius. In the Navamsha, Mars Rx is in 6^thhouse Scorpio conjoined Venus with the Moon in Taurus in the 12^thhouse. In Navamsha, Mars is retrograde and is ruler of the 6^th in the 6^th. This aspect gives good business acumen and ambition, the mind is sharp and focused as displayed through Tiger’s ability to drive on the field of golf. Lord of the 6^th in the 6^this good for conquering enemies which Tiger certainly has done. It is good for competition however the lord of the 6^th is tied up with Venus. Tiger has conquests which are not only on the golf course. Women are seen as sport, trophy; another form of competition.

Moon-Moon Dasha Tiger’s mother is alive however I did not find much information about her. She was placed at the site of the recent accident however there has been no official statement. Tiger’s mother must have been strict or distant. The Moon goes to the 12^th house in the navamsha just as it is placed in the 12^thin the rashi. The moon is exalted in the navamsha and placed in Sag in the rashi. In the navamsha, the mother must have had a disturbing affect as Rahu is2^nd from the moon. There is an indication of sexual confusion for Tiger but not enough to act-out with same sex partners. Instead, the sexual activity takes on an addictive quality with ‘types’ of women. Tiger identifies with a particular type of female, the stereotypical trophy blonde. These women must be lacking in self-esteem as demonstrated through interviews with 1 of 16 mistresses who claimed it was "an honor" to be in an adulterous and secretive relationship. The accident November 27^th when the moon was transiting Tiger’s rashi-natal Jupiter RX brought to light the indiscretions however, the National Enquirer ran a story about Tiger cheating on November 25^th, 2009. The Moon was in Shatibhishak which is said to be the Nakshastra of a cheat but who will speak frankly. It is a Nakshastra of dissolution with the caste of a butcher. The tabloid forced the truth out of infidelity and deception. It is interesting that both mothers were at the scene of the accident as well as the collapse of the mother-in-law later. Tiger is surrounded by women as the Moon is a female planet. He is in a cycle of women which has expanded and spread to an excessive degree as he came into the bhukti of Jupiter in September of 2009. Jupiter in the 8^th has brought wealth but in the moon dasha and sub-cycle of Jupiter, has brought Saturn’s requirements of restraint to self-control to the surface.

Transits As the transits continue to build, Tiger continues to lose endorsements. He has withdrawn from his own celebrity tournaments and has pulled away from golf ‘indefinitely’ however as Jay Leno said one evening, “Golf was not the problem”. The nodes will hit on the New Year and the wife will publicly declare a separation if not a divorce. Mercury will be retrograding and conjoined Venus and Rahu on the house of the wife with Ketu transiting Gemini, Tigers ascendant. The issue of money is huge as is the size of Jupiter. Half if not more of Tiger’s wealth will become embattled as Mars continues to deepen his retrograde in Cancer. Mars goes retrograde December 20^th making this time the most painful,contentious and difficult for home and family. Saturn continues to demand mental and familial hygiene while transiting natal Virgo in the navamsha. The Saturn return Tiger is experiencing in relationship to his spouse is one of discernment and understanding the value of his marriage. Saturn transiting the 2^nd in the rashi will take away money and force a reassessment of what Tiger valuesrelative to happiness in general. The Saturn transits in the rashi aspects the natal Jupiter and shrinks him down tosize. In the navamsha, the 10^thhouse of career shrinks. Rahu on the natal 11^th house hurts the reputation and with Mars Rx, this is a violent and painful experience. Mars aspects the moon and with Ketu transiting, shame will be felt in relationship to the mother in the rashi and the spiritual father in the navamsha. Child protective services visited the Wood’s house on December 12, 2009. The excessive media exposure is damaging for children and destabilizing. Tiger has two children, a 2-year old girl anda 10-month old son.

Upayas Tiger is a pitta type (Leo asc.) with the nervous system over-heated. Sun combust Mercury within 8 degrees and his is within 3 degrees. Mercury exchanges with retrograde Mars in Scorpio-Gemini picking up all the qualities of Mars in Scorpio. Ketu is pitta and increases irritation, short-temper and inflammation to Aries. The pitta-Sun is with Ketu in Sag, another fire sign in the navamsha. Mars is Rx in Scorpio in the 6^thhouse of accidents and acuity. Tiger needs to manage pitta in the nervous system. With the heavy-kapha planets in water or earth signs, he can get struck and feel he does not need to change. Kapha can become very stagnant and with a pitta aggravation,belligerent. The current collapse of secrets and lies will sweat-out the heavy complacency that is Kapha. Kapha’s need to be made uncomfortable in order for change of behavior to take place; events have conspired to remedy the situation. In moon’s mahadasha, it’s the mind and emotions that need remedy.

Upayas dated 12/16/2009 Tiger needs peer counseling which is not the ‘posse’ of worshipers. He needs peers who will feed-back authentically and take him to task on his narcissistic acting-out. Recognize that infidelity and indiscretion are misconceived terms which do not address issues of sexual addiction. Determine the value of marriage and relationship. Realize and take responsibility for behaviors which impact the wife and children now and in the future. Retreat from golf and public exposure is appropriate and removes the adulation and immediate gratification media brings both negatively and positively

Ketu in John Edward's Chart

Tapasya in Sanskrit means "heat". In Vedic astrology but more commonly in yoga, it is used both figuratively and literally. Tapasya may be experienced as physical and spiritual suffering as it is a burn through our lack of awareness and excesses. Tapasya is like the forest fires of late summer. It can begin like a lightening strike, igniting a smoldering that spreads rapidly with the wind through under-bush and over-growth; especially when dry or poorly managed. This dry over-growth and under-bush is a metaphor for the dross of our negative energies and hubris.

Certain rigors called tapas, willingly practiced as a yogi or yogini, bring awareness to our sensory attachments and guide us toward life’s higher purpose. Through tapas, a spiritual seeker can "burn off" or prevent the accumulation of dross that is negative emotion and unhealthy treatment of the body, clearing a path toward spiritual evolution.

Light is the byproduct of burning dross. If we can realize the meaning of this light and allow it to saturate our consciousness just as the Sun’s light radiates upon the moon; reflecting in the dark of night, it is the spiritual ecstasy so often rhapsodized in poetry and sacred scriptures.

Last week, in writing about John Edward’s chart, the effects of transiting Rahu were explained on the seventh house, the place of intimate partners. Now, the meaning of Ketu, which is directly transiting Edward’s first house. The first house is the place where the individual's physical body, ego and persona, meets the world.

Ketu is the expression of astrological, planetary tapasya. Wherever Ketu is in the natal chart, and is by transit, is where there is heat. Ketu is incendiary; turning what is not authentic Self, what is not one’s true nature, to ash. Ketu is the tail of the serpent, the part of the dragon that lives underground, seeking the light at the end of the tunnel. Ketu is irritable and like real snakes, the last part to shed its dry, dead skin at molting time. Like real snakes, Ketu becomes extremely dangerous and irritable, initiating the strike and bite that Rahu will deliver. Rahu is the head of the serpent and is the mouth of desire, the part of the serpent which lives in the world, and is driven by tastes and other sensory experience. Rahu and Ketu together is the Kundalini and in yoga, are managed through tapasya and the other yamas and niyamas.

Rahu and Ketu are commonly called the Karmic-axis as it reveals within the natal chart, past life karmas to be distilled in this life. When the Rahu-Ketu axis transits through the natal chart, events are triggered in association with eclipses. Rahu-ketu are smoldering points in space which eclipse patterns act like a lightening-strike, sending a roaring forest or bush fire through seemingly, well ordered if not hyper-controlled and manipulated lives. The soul requires the heat and burn in order further purify the koshas (layers of spiritual, mental and emotional “bodies”) of dross. Remember, the burning dross produces an illuminating force.

Hubris applies to those who are out-of-touch and who overestimate one's own competence or capabilities, especially those in positions of power. John Edwards is experiencing an intense burning of his hubris at this time. As mentioned before, Ketu is transiting his first house, the place where the person meets the world.

John Edward’s world has been turned upside down. His hubris and narcissism have taken him into an underworld, his own personal Ketu hell so to speak, where he is meeting the cost of lies and manipulations full force. Mars and Mercury are conjoined in Edward’s first house and he is a Gemini. His wealth is a going up like in flames like a frat-party bonfire and money will continue to burn as a divorce from Elizabeth Edwards hits the media.

Finances are not the only capital going up in flames. Edward’s reputation is in a deep broil. Mars rules his eleventh house, Aries and Mars is retrograde in Cancer, his second house. The eleventh is community and reputation while the second is happiness and income. Second and eleven are associated with wealth on varying levels. Mercury rules Edward’s fourth house of home and property and with Saturn retrograding here currently, he has already taken a crushing loss but one long in coming. Edward's soul requires this media attention and interplay. Continue to observe how Politics as theater and drama,will deliver more then even Hollywood can promise.

John Edward's Eclipse Chart January 2010

"John" Edwards is an American politician who served as a US Senator from North Carolina. He was the Democratic nominee for Vice President in 2004, and was a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004 and 2008.

Edwards is a Gemini ASC with Mars, Mercury and Uranus in the first house. Moon, Jupiter and Sun are in Taurus in the twelfth house. Venus is placed in the eleventh house in Aries and Saturn is retrograde conjoined Neptune retrograde in Virgo in the fourth. Pluto is conjoined Ketu in the second house and Rahu is in the eight.

The eclipses of December 31, 2009 and January 15^th 2010 have completed their run on John Edward’s first and seventh house, the houses of ego self-persona Vs.marriage and intimate partners. Eclipses occur when the nodes are conjoined either the Sun or the Moon and are placed in opposition. The nodes are identified as Rahu and Ketu and are represented as a serpent or dragon character in-half.

Rahu is political in nature and is associated with media and collective trends. Rahu is notoriously toxic and intoxicating however, is also associated with a purging of the consciousness. This purging is like the agitation and spin cycle of a washing machine. Impurities caught up within the Mind, are agitated and spun-out. The process of spinning is chaotic, intense and disruptive. Upheaval is a common descriptive and is used often when describing Rahu's activated state.

Rahu is also associated with the affliction-Cancer and has been transiting Edward's seventh house , putting this house under great stress and 'upheaval'. Edward's wife, Elizabeth, is a Cancer survivor and while at the height of the John's affair, her illness was revealed at a well publicized press event. The manipulation of this sad event has come to light; the hyper-controlled, political 'spin-cycle' machine has turned against Edwards and now is the dreaded cleansing of the consciousness (moon) and emotions. The snake has bitten the handler.

Rielle Hunter is described as a "new-age" hanger-on and former yoga teacher. She approached Edward's in a bar, early in the presidential campaign, with 'visions' of his aura. This was apparently enough to convince Edward's, she would be the one to get him elected. Hunter became Edwards videographer in addition to being his mistress thoughout his failed, Democratic presidential nominee campaign. Hunter is an intimate partner and represents dramatically, the delusional and toxic affect of Rahu.

Observe the media spin as John Edward’s adulterous affair continues to be revealed.

Ketu transit into Gemini

Ketu transited out of Cancer the evening of November 2, relieving Mars of the darkness that the nodes of the moon bring. All planets deliver at the end of their transit, unfinished business. Our November 3 elections was the completion of a great amount of business. They have come and gone with R71 passing. As a result, R71 brings protection to the non-traditional and mixed family, a positive aspect of Mars with Ketu in Cancer.

As the moon rules Cancer and our consciousness, which is as variable as the phases of the moon, there are also negative affects. Mars-Ketu in Cancer is also reflective of violence. A Seattle police officer was shot execution style, on Halloween. The killing appeared random initially yet was clearly planned. It took the life of a popular 'teaching' police officer as he was training a new recruit. Both were sitting in a squad car in quiet, wealthier neighborhood; one that borders a more violent and poor neighborhood. The effect is dissonant, creating anguish and confusion. There was no apparent conflict, no crime or reason for this death to occur. The violent act took place at the edge of a 'safe' neighborhood. The police and fireperson family of Washington state has coalesced, rallying to the family of the dead officer. Today, they demonstrated military like devotion to both family and community they protect, in a funeral parade full of ceremony. I'll detail further, the after-effects of the recent nodal transit with Jupiter and Mars in Capricorn and Cancer but not today.

Mars with Ketu

Mars with Ketu is the quintessential, spiritual warrior. In the Bhagavadgita, Arjuna is Mars conjoined Ketu. Mars is the warrior and Ketu is the spiritual seeker, the tail of the serpent. The dark part and tail of this serpent lives underground, searching for a pinpoint of light in the great darkness. This underground search represents ourselves looking inward, searching through our own dark night of the Soul. Ketu as spiritual seeker is the indicator of enlightenment. With Mars, this desire to transcend life's illusions and pain is sharp and burning. Ketu is the 'Letting go' that is required in order to be free of life's suffering associated with misperception and delusion. For pure perception to be realized, the mind must be freed of it's attachments and bonds. Mars and Ketu are currently in Cancer. Cancer is ruled by the Moon and the Moon is a karaka of the Mind. Ironically, Mars is weak in Cancer. It is Mars's place of debilitation. The reason for this is that Cancer and the Moon is associated with the mother, home and security and the family home is not a place for battle. However, with Mars and Ketu in Cancer, illusions around what family means are to be transcended. Mis-placed bonds need to be severed in order for the true self to emerge from the dark underground. Interestingly, gay and lesbian issues associated with family rights and recognition are front and center in our upcoming Washington State politics. Ketu and Rahu (the head of the serpent) are associated with anything alternative and uncharted. In addition, Ketu and Rahu are outcastes in the caste system from India and our gay brothers and lesbian sisters are certainly outcastes within our current traditional definition of the family. November 3, 2009 is election day and what is so interesting, is that this is the day that Ketu and Rahu move from their current positions. The nodes, another name for Ketu and Rahu are associated with upheaval and change as they churn the chart. It will be interesting to see how this change and churn will be manifest on November 3rd.

Mars in Cancer- October 2009

Devotion and individuation may sound like opposites however, Mars's entry into Cancer combines these processes. Devotion is defined as profound dedication. An earnest attachment to a cause or person, etc. It is an assignment to a purpose or an ecclesiastical, religious observance; a form of prayer. Jung's definition of individuation is as follows, "Individuation means the embrace of our innermost, last, and incomparable uniqueness, it implies becoming one's own self." The former is associated with exterior relationship while the latter is an internal revelation.

Mars is a planet of action, courage and individuation. Where Mars is located in the natal chart and is by transit, we are challenged to know and understand ourselves. Mars classically is the god of war, forceful, powerful and like war, violent at times. Courage is required in becoming your own person as we have to identify self and not-self. This process begins in the family of origin.

Cancer is a constellation associated with mother, family, love and devotion, Cancer, like the ideal family, is the place of security and nurturing. In healthy family systems, we develop relationship skills, social values and positive self-esteem. Ideally, healthy family systems nurture a secure ground for children to grow, develop and eventually create their own family systems (Jupiter is exalted in Cancer as the purveyor of abundance and growth). Healthy families nurture a loving and devotional character among it's members. Unfortunately, in unhealthy family systems the opposite is true. Devotion is replaced with enmeshment and a lack of personal boundaries. Self-esteem is difficult as a development process when there is no clear personality seperate from family members and the mother in particular.

It takes the power, force and courage of Mars to shear away the enmeshed, false self developed in a dysfunctional family. This shearing away can feel violent and at times, is a physical experience of violence. Battered women know this well as they separate from a violent partner to become their own person. Painful as it is, and Mars is associated with pain and accidents, it is part of a necessary process.

Mars is debilitated in Cancer meaning this is not his 'happy place'. Promoting war and battle within family systems is not his paradigm. However, there is an archetypal, spiritual model for Mars in Cancer and it comes from the Bhagavadgita. Bhagavadgita means, 'Song of God' and is a story of Arjuna, a prince and spiritual warrior. The Divine God in the form of Krishna guides and consults Arjuna on many topics but first and foremost, in war. This war is the process of separation-individuation from his family. Transits for October 2009

Fall is the season when vata (air and space) is most aggravated and yet, is the best time to treat and balance vata. We have a series of transits involving the foundational planetary lords this October 2009. Saturn has already made his move into Virgo (9.10.09) and Mercury has stationed, conjoining Shani as of yesterday (9.29.09). Mars heats up the watery realms of Cancer tomorrow (10.3.09). Venus joins Mercury and Saturn in Virgo (10.9.09) in his debilitated position. Mars and moon conjoin at the total eclipse point (10.12.09), did I mention Cancer is Mar's debilitation? Jupiter stations in Capricorn (10.12.09) in his debilitation yet lightens up as he moves out of his retrograding motion. Sun transits Libra (10.16.09) and again, in debilitation for another major planet and last but certainly not least, the nodes or 'The Dragon" takes his position for the next 18 months in Sagittarius and Gemini (11.03.09). When a planet is in his debilitation, it means the planet is in his most unstable position. As with many things in life, this can be positive or not depending upon how we frame the meaning. My intent is to reveal the opportunities within this period of time, which ultimately lead to a more happy and fulfilled life.

Mercury Retrograde with Saturn

Saturn’s transit into Virgo brings focus to both personal health and community health care. Virgo is an earth sign and the natural sixth house ruled by Mercury. The sixth house is associated with the intestinal system and specifically with digestion and absorption. Saturn is friends with Mercury and functions well in Virgo. Both share a strong work ethic and pragmatic approach in dealing with life issues. Both are utilitarian and systematic. Depending upon the house number, Saturn in Virgo will be good transit as long as vata is managed appropriately.

Sorting out life’s essential requirements on an emotional level, is similar to the physical process of digestion (our digestive gut is called a ‘second brain’, not by accident). Our small intestine sorts and breaks down 90% of our required daily nutrients. The large intestine absorbs the last 10% but primarily functions to reabsorb water and compact the small intestine‘s caste-offs into feces. This process again, is parallel to the mental process called discernment. With good discernment, we evaluate the usefulness of either activity or event and shed what will only clutter or confuse. Are we using our energies for good purpose, with clear perception and insight?

Currently, Mercury’s retrograde with Saturn in Mercury’s most pragmatic constellation of function, is an opportunity to refine our life’s purpose. It is a time to revisit what has worked Vs what no longer works in our lives, thereby freeing up energy that maybe lying stagnant. Saturn slow things down and may slow down our digestion as well if Agni is weak. If Agni is strong, in process, we absorb more fully, those much needed nutrients called Prana in ayurveda.

Fall is the season in which Vata, the dosha associated with elements of air and space increase. An increase in Vata is experienced physically as dry skin, stiff joints and degrees of sluggish bowel activity.

Astrologically, the planets associated with Vata are Saturn and Rahu. Agni is a Vedic fire deity and in the physical body, rules our digestive capacity. Healthy digestive fire strenghtens the immune system against the assult of viruses and bacteria. Agni is also associated with courage as well as mental acuity. Strengthening our Agni increases courage and our capacity to digest and understand experience. Strong Agni gives balanced perception as well as good physical health.

Rahu is the eclipsing of the sun and the moon and is the other Vata planet. Rahu is blamed for illnesses and specifically, pandemics. Rahu is currently conjoined Jupiter, a Kapha planet made up of earth and water in ayurveda. However, in Vedic astrology, Jupiter is the element of ether. This may seem confusing until we understand the power of Jupiter is his ability to spread and expand space. Jupiter conjoined Rahu indicatives spreading difficulty and or disease. This fall, we may see a mutatation of swine flu emerge with greater spreading and effect then last year.

In our digestive tract and bowels, this would be constipation and poor absorption however, if we treat Saturn with oils, herbs and correct Ayurvedic treatment, Saturn can stop disease or the further spread of illness. Astrologically, the planets associated with Vata are Saturn and Rahu. Welcome to my new blog! In this blog, we will discuss the upayas (remedy) of yoga and ayurveda in mediating and propitiating planetary difficulty. Ayurveda is defined as the Science of Life while yoga is known as the Science of Mind. Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) is called the Science of Light.

Asana or traditional yoga posture come under the treatment protocols of ayurveda. The protocols of ayurveda treat dosha or imbalances found between the kosha or sheaths of the physical, mental and spiritual bodies. Yoga postures treat the srota or channels of the physical body with the primary channel treated being the manovahasrota; the channel that integrates the body and mind.

Timing is everything as the saying goes. Timing ayurvedic and yoga practice such as daily cleansing and asana, optimize the cognitive function of the Mind. The timing of such practice is in relation to the rise and setting of the Sun and Moon and is the realm of Vedic astrology.

Hatha in Sanskrit means Sun and Moon and Yoga means to yoke or join together. Hatha yoga, the practice of postures and breathwork is the joining of the Sun and the Moon within the physical body (celestial body to physical body). The Science of Light, Vedic astrology measures the movement of Light emanating from the sun, stars and by reflection, the moon and planets guiding when practices are best performed.
