Hope you're well. Just HAD to share this with you....

I love this word - dross - you used in your last blog. I keep a list of favorite words and I added it to the list last night.
Then this morning I my "word of the day" came in my inbox from Merriem Webster dictionary online, and today the word was "evanescent" - tending to vanish like vapor.

This reminds me of these two extremes of mitya and satyam -- karmas that accumulates on heaviness like metal earth rock versus (from ignorance) VERSUS colorless light of awareness that lends sentience and leaves no trace (represented by the camphor used in puja ceremonies) -- and also how they're not opposed but interdependent in this particular jagat world of ours.

It was a fun juxtaposition of ideas. Thanks!
Hope you and that sweet horse of yours are doing well.

Beautiful analysis on Cancer (Karak) and Mars (Mangal). I am new to your blog, and was fascinated by your understanding of individuation and how it relates to Cancer and moon in general. I have been recently thinking about Donald Winnicott and how his theories relate to the relationships with the moon as well. The delicate balance between our objective and subjective worlds, as well as the merging of the two in Unity Consciousness.

Have you written more on the role of the moon (and other planets) with respect to individuation and healthy relationships? If so, please direct me to other blog entries.

Hi Melanie! Thank you for your cosmic perspective and reading the influence of astral forces in the Vedic tradition. When I read your entries here and then consider those same metaphorical aspects in my own little world, it serves as a reminder to me to be aware and take good care... which always serve well through life's ups ad downs.
